The Indian Lake Improvement Association was organized and created in February of 2000 as a Nonprofit Corporation under the name ILIA, Inc. As stated in its charter documents, the purpose for which the corporation is organized is “to preserve, protect, and improve the quality of Indian Lake, Dowagiac, Michigan." The corporation is organized on a Membership and Non-Stock basis. The corporation is to be financed under the following terms: Membership dues and fund raisers.
