Global Learning Advisory Council

The Global Learning Advisory Council (GLAC) was formed in the spring of 2016 in partnership with the Indiana Department of Education. The core founders consisted of approximately 15 Hoosier educators that supported international education and improved global competency among schools and educators. Now, after some transition, the GLAC still serves to promote global education initiatives and includes educators from many content areas, many grade levels and from all over Indiana.

The Global Learning Advisory Council gathers to:

  • Provide input regarding new initiatives for World Language in Indiana
  • Bridge the fields that support language learning throughout Indiana
  • Share Indiana news/initiatives with colleagues locally and throughout Indiana
  • Network with like-minded colleagues
  • Assist with needs assessment for world language, dual language, global learning
  • Present/Lead/Model best practices in the field
  • Advocate/Support Intercultural/Global Learning initiatives
