Day 1 (22 January 2026)

First 1

On the first day, we met internship students from the Philippines because we would be paired to carry out teaching practice. I felt very enthusiastic because this was my first experience doing teaching practice abroad. Through this program, I hope to learn about Filipino culture, including the learning culture in schools.

I arrived at Adamson University at 7:30 a.m. and attended a meeting and briefing for inbound and outbound students of internship deployment with Dr. Dulatree. After that, we met the junior high school principal and our respective Cooperating Teachers (CT).

However, since that day was the first day of the intramural activities, we were not able to observe formal classroom learning. We only observed the students participating in activities on the school grounds. The event was lively, especially during the introduction of the muse and escort from each section. The students appeared very enthusiastic, confident, and enjoyed the activities.

After that, we entered several classrooms even though the lessons had not yet started. The CT explained the lesson plan, how to check students’ attendance, and the class schedule. We also watched several sports competitions and student performances. The activities on the first day ended at 4:00 p.m., and we returned to our accommodation.

Day 2 (23 January 2026)

On the second day, I arrived at Adamson University at 7:30 a.m. The activities conducted on this day were more limited compared to the first day. There were two main activities, namely classroom observation and watching sports competitions.

Although formal teaching and learning activities had not yet started, we still entered several classrooms according to the assigned schedule. During the classroom observation, we observed the classroom environment, student interactions, and listened to explanations from the Cooperating Teacher (CT) regarding the learning process that would be implemented in the future. This observation helped me gain a better understanding of the students’ learning environment and classroom setting.

In addition to classroom observation, we also watched several sports competitions, such as basketball and volleyball matches. The atmosphere of the games was very exciting and full of enthusiasm. I felt very happy and proud because our ST class won the volleyball competition. The students’ enthusiasm and sportsmanship were clearly visible throughout the activities.

After all school activities were completed, we went to the Education Department to collect our internship ID cards. We also had a consultation with Dr. Dulatre and Prof. Lorra before returning to our accommodation. This consultation is one of the mandatory activities that we must carry out every day after completing our school activities. After completing the entire series of activities, we returned to our accommodation at **5:00 p.m.** The second day provided a pleasant experience and enhanced my understanding of both academic and non-academic activities in the school environment.

Day 3 (24 January 2026)

On the third day, I arrived at Adamson University at 6:35 a.m. and met with our Cooperating Teacher (CT). We entered several classrooms for observation and spent time watching sports activities, including a volleyball competition participated in by the students under our CT. The students showed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the games.

From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there were no classes, so I used the time to work on my assignments, particularly my final project for advancing to Semester 6. At 1:00 p.m., we entered a class with our CT. I felt very happy because the students welcomed me warmly. One of them asked if I was from Indonesia, and the friendly interaction made me feel comfortable and appreciated. I also chose this class as the one where I plan to conduct my teaching practice.

Before returning to our accommodation, we reported our daily activities to Dr. Dulatre and Prof. Lorra as part of our required consultation. At 3:00 p.m., we returned to our accommodation. Overall, the third day was a pleasant experience that increased my motivation and confidence as a future teacher.

Day 4 (26 January 2026)

On the fourth day, I arrived at Adamson University early in the morning and met with our Cooperating Teacher (CT). The day’s activities focused mainly on classroom observation and co-curricular activities. We entered several classrooms to observe the learning environment, student behavior, and classroom management together with our CT.

During the observation, I also had the opportunity to watch the students practice their dance for an upcoming performance in the Foundation Week event scheduled for the following week. The students showed great enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork during the practice. Observing this activity allowed me to gain insight into how non-academic activities contribute to students’ confidence, discipline, and collaboration.

After completing the classroom observation, we continued to monitor school activities under the guidance of our CT. Before returning to our accommodation, we reported our daily activities to Dr. Dulatre and Prof. Lorra as part of the required consultation. Overall, the fourth day provided valuable experience and a deeper understanding of both academic and extracurricular activities within the school environment.

Day 5 (27 January 2026)

On the fifth day, I arrived at Adamson University and met with our Cooperating Teacher (CT). The activities for the day focused on classroom observation and student sports activities. Together with our CT, we entered several classrooms to observe the learning environment, student behavior, and classroom management.

In addition to classroom observation, I observed various student sports competitions, particularly volleyball and basketball matches. The competitions were lively and engaging, and the students demonstrated strong teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Watching these activities helped me understand how sports play an important role in developing students’ physical skills, cooperation, and positive attitudes.

After completing the school activities, we reported our daily activities to Dr. Dulatre and Prof. Lorra as part of the required consultation. Overall, the fifth day provided a meaningful experience and further enhanced my understanding of both academic and non-academic aspects of the school environment.

Day 6  (28 January 2026)

On the sixth day, I arrived at Adamson University before 7:00 a.m. and entered the classrooms with our Cooperating Teacher (CT) for regular observation. I observed student sports competitions, including a basketball match, in which the students under our CT won, as well as a volleyball competition. The activities showed students’ enthusiasm, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Our CT also explained important academic matters, such as the Adamson portal account and the lesson plan for Grade 10, including materials and learning topics. Although the schedule indicated that activities would end at 2:00 p.m., the class was dismissed earlier due to our CT’s other commitments. However, I stayed until 4:00 p.m. following my fellow intern’s schedule.

Before returning, we reported our activities to Dr. Dulatre and briefly visited Prof. Lorra’s class, where I felt happy because students began greeting and interacting with us. Prof. Lorra arranged a Grab, and we returned to our accommodation at 4:00 p.m. Overall, the sixth day was a positive and meaningful experience.

Day 7  (29 January 2026)

Day 7

On the seventh day, I arrived at Adamson University before 7:00 a.m., even though the official schedule was at 10:20 a.m. I came early to make good use of the time by working on my lesson plan and completing my final exam at the library. This helped me stay focused and manage my academic responsibilities effectively.

After that, I joined the regular classroom activities with our Cooperating Teacher (CT) and continued observing the classroom environment and student behavior. These observations contributed to my understanding of classroom dynamics and teaching practices.

Before returning to our accommodation, we reported our daily activities to Dr. Dulatre. Overall, the seventh day was productive and meaningful, as it allowed me to balance academic tasks and field experience as a pre-service teacher.

Day 8  (30 January 2026)

Day 8

On the eighth day, the school held an announcement for the winners of the sports competitions. The event created a positive and joyful atmosphere, and the students showed excitement and appreciation for their achievements and participation.

After the announcement, we entered the classroom for learning activities. Although it was not yet a formal class session, the teacher conducted a review of the previous lesson and checked the students’ homework. The teacher also returned and explained the students’ scores and results, allowing them to understand their performance better.

During the class, the students showed a high level of discipline and obedience. They carefully wrote down the vocabulary that the teacher wrote on the board. The teacher also went around the classroom, checking each student’s desk one by one to ensure that all students were writing and following the lesson properly. Overall, the eighth day was a valuable experience in observing classroom discipline, teacher supervision, and student responsibility in the learning process.
