Who Are We?

The George Mason University International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE at Mason) is a student led organization whose mission is to develop and support the systems engineering careers of students at George Mason University by providing education, career, and networking opportunities.

Our Club Goals

Professional Development

One of the most important reasons to join any professional society is the robust professional network it brings. Alumni, industry professionals, career center reps, and hiring managers often join us for panel-style Q&A’s, resume reviews, and hiring series. While you won’t get hired on the spot in our conference room, you will build a robust network armed with a well built resume and all the insider tips you need for success.

Technical Development

Do you feel like you’ve missed out on specific technical skills? Or learned basics for an assignment and really enjoyed it, wanting to do more? INCOSE at Mason provides fundamental workshops on subjects like programming languages (Python, Java), modeling systems (Magic, Arena), and even concepts like Git or Agile Development. Add to your technical repertoire by attending our workshops or even hosting one (email incoseatmason@gmail.com)

Social Development

Meeting your fellow SE students outside of the classroom is not easy to do. Breaking the ice, finding a good time and place, and maintaining the relationship are all very difficult. INCOSE at Mason provides set times and places for our members to meet each other, and our recurring events allow for a continuing relationship. Our goal is to have members meet others who they don’t share classes or graduating years with, fostering department-wide community and closeness.

Why should you join?
