The High-Leverage Practices (HLP) for students with disabilities are a set of 22 core practices identified by the Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability and Reform (CEEDAR) and the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) as critical in improving student outcomes.
Identifying these important practices help teachers identify what elements of instruction are critical to maximize opportunities for children to learn in school, home and the community. Check out the website below to explore more information about High-Leverage Practices (HLPs), access professional development materials, and watch examples of HLPs in action.
