Objectives:
Allow for enough time for users to enjoy the experience
Allow comfortable transition periods
Give alternative ways to enjoy the experience
To achieve these objectives, the developer can use the following hardware platforms:
Projector VR - Ability to have more people experience a simulation in a shorter period of time. Paired with body tracking sensors, the experience can be made interactable and does not require wearable equipment.
Isolated HMD stations - Provide a standalone experience that can be stationed in non crowded areas. Each headset could play a variety of experiences, and the user can have a fair amount of time to experience the digital simulation. The benefit of individual stations is to allow guests to experience a digital exhibit, without disturbing the flow for other guests.
Phone Virtual Reality - Ability to replicate 3D exhibits in the aspects of 3D sound and video. Have a prerecorded experience that can be completed from any remote location, from the user’s device.
Culturally Accepted Characters - Use features that convey comfort, and culturally accepted attitudes. Characters should not exhibit stereotypes, and respect cultural norms. The following photo is of Pepper, an AI robot that acts as a chatbot for guests.
Children using a virtual reality head-mounted display headset - The safety of children when using head mounted display virtual reality should be considered. Currently there exists warning on the products that details that the hardware should only be used by ages 14 and up. Overall due to a lack of research on this topic, the safety and long term effects of virtual reality on children is unknown.

Cleanliness of head mounted display - Since all headsets come into contact with the skin, hair, and breath of other people, there must be measures in close to retain cleanliness of the equipment.
