Diversity Equity and Inclusion in the Context of Human Subject Research
Dr. Taylor is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Lehigh University. She is an experimental social psychologist, and she holds a joint appointment in the Africana Studies Program at Lehigh University. Her research areas include social identity threat, intergroup contact, stereotyping and discrimination, cultural psychology, and applications of emerging technologies in the study of intergroup relations.
To help us prepare for the 11:00 AM discussion sessions, Dr. Taylor will introduce us to relevant Diversity Equity and Inclusion topics, including best practices and known challenges, all in the context of human subject research.

XR Accessibility in the Context of Human Subject Research
Dylan Fox is a UX Design and Accessibility Consultant who also serves as the Head of Community and Engagement for XR Access, responsible for empowering the XR Access workstreams and spreading the importance of XR accessibility to the public. He also conducts research at UC Berkeley on uses of augmented reality for people with low vision, and sits on the W3C Immersive Captions community group and IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Extended Reality.

Sociolinguistics in the Context of Human Subject Research
Dr. Jessi Grieser
Dr. Jessi Grieser is an Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Michigan. She is a sociolinguist, and her research focuses on the use of African American Language style in the creation and maintenance of identities which are not necessarily ethnoracial in nature, particularly identities of place and class. She also investigates geosemiotics and the study of language online.

Helpful Technology for People Living with Mobility Impairments
Diane S. Nahabedian is the Executive Director of Helping Hands: Monkey Helpers (HHMH). HHMH was founded to raise and train capuchin monkeys to provide daily in-home assistance to people living with mobility impairments, but is now transitioning from a service animal model to exploring specific technologies including different types of robotic arms, exoskeletons, adaptive wheelchairs, and assistive technologies that can make homes smart, including AR and VR.
