I am an assistant professor (מרצה בכיר) in Tel Aviv University’s School of Mathematical Science and Computer Science. Before that, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Mathematics department at the Weizmann Institute of Science, hosted by Prof. Ofer Zeitouni. Later, I was at the Applied Mathematics department at Tel-Aviv University, and the Statistics and Mathematics departments at McGill University and Mila hosted by Prof. Courtney Paquette and Prof. Elliot Paquette. I completed my Ph.D. in the Applied Mathematics department at Tel-Aviv University, advised by Prof. Nir Sochen.
My research interest revolves around complex and stochastic systems in high dimensions with applications to optimization in modern machine learning, data science, physics, medical imaging, and epidemiology. Currently, I am interested in how using insights from probability theory and statistical physics can help understand and improve machine learning algorithms.
