Inactivity Nemesis is an international project conducted with five schools and learners from Turkey, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, and Poland. The project will provide interactive and inclusive speaking meetings where learners communicate with mentors and other learners from different countries. Furthermore, learners will be able to express their own ideas and enrich their knowledge in a welcoming and unbiased speaking-based learning environment.
The project consists of 60-minute speaking meetings held twice a month on Zoom. The project comprises and follows three speaking stages, such as presentation, practice, and production (PPP). The project also includes rich visual materials that are topic-based presentations, images, short videos, and gifs. If there are learners from the countryside, who do not have access to various online speaking materials, the mentors will share the slides with these learners.
Participants can hold different views while developing their learner autonomy based on integrated speaking and cultural exchanges through regular speaking sessions in this project, Inactivity Nemesis. Moreover, the project uses updated and daily-life topics through authentic materials, where learners can view the language in a real-world context and learn about current news related to the global world, such as saving green, protecting nature, digital innovation, inclusion, and diversity.
