A: We want to keep all kids as safe from illness as possible, while still giving them a chance to socialize and make new friends! That said, I am fully vaccinated and we now require all children 3 years and older to wear a mask while indoors. We also ask that you keep children home if they are showing any signs of illness. Thank you for helping us keep each other safe and healthy! In addition to wearing masks, washing & sanitizing hands often, and staying home when sick, we regularly sanitize toys and other play surfaces to minimize the sharing of germs as much as possible!

Q: How do you handle behavioral issues?
A: Behavioral issues in young children can usually be diffused through figuring out the root emotions the child is going through and calmly talking them through the emotions. My approach is to do just that! Tantrums and acting out are generally short-lived because they don't need to be the end result of a situation - they are just part of the journey to a child figuring out how to communicate effectively! With time, kids learn to use words or actions to communicate what they need without the behavioral issues.

A: There is currently no fee linked to cancellation of an appointment, whether that's 2 days before or 2 minutes before! Especially if your child is sick, I don't want to penalize anyone for choosing to keep them home. On the other hand, I would love to have some advance notice so that there is a chance for others who may need the time slot! Please understand that I do consider this an 'at will' childcare agreement and if you consistently don't show consideration for my time and others' possible needs we may need to part ways.

A: Please list all allergies on the New Family Registration Form and of course you as parents are the experts on your child's needs! I'd love all of your tips and tricks to navigate your child's allergies and I will take every care to keep your child safe while in my care!

Q: How often will you change my child's diaper?

A: I will change diapers directly before naps, after naps, and any time in between that I observe the diaper has been filled. A rash-free bum makes for a happy child! Please provide plenty of diapers and wipes, diaper cream, etc when dropping of your child for their care appointment!

A: Required if applicable: Please bring diaper changing supplies (diapers, wipes, diaper cream) or potty training supplies (pull-ups, underwear, reward, change of clothes, etc), baby supplies (bottles, formula, baby food, pacifier, etc)

A: In short, please stay home when sick! We really want to avoid spreading germs as much as possible, and this goes both ways. Unfortunately this does mean that sometimes care appointments will need to be cancelled or postponed if either your children are sick or mine are. I will be sure to communicate with you in advance if one of my children are sick so we can work out a plan for care. I would appreciate the same courtesy if your child is showing symptoms of illness.
