Student Travel Award
Deadline: September 30th, 2026
ICSDS is pleased to provide travel awards to outstanding PhD students to participate in the conference. Each award includes 420 USD for all-inclusive registration and 400 USD for travel. Applicants for the awards must be members of IMS, for which joining at the time of application is allowed. Note that IMS membership is FREE for all students. The applications for travel awards are due by September 30th, 2026.
Eligibility
The student must be enrolled in a degree-granting institution on December 1st, 2026.
The student must be the first author of the submitted paper.
The student must be a member of the IMS.
The student must be willing to attend and present the paper in person at the 2026 ICSDS. The presentation will be in a special "Student Award Session".
Applications
Please use the form below to submit your application. The application form will ask you to upload the abstract as a PDF file, with which you are strongly encouraged to submit your paper (also as a PDF file) to strength your application. The paper is limited to be 40 pages double spaced.
You are also required to have one reference letter, preferably from your PhD supervisor. Please instruct your letter provider to email the letter directly to Ms. Arlene Gray at arlene.gray@imstat.org, with the subject "Letter for ICSDS 2026 Student Travel Award" by September 30th, 2026.
Junior Researcher Support
Deadline: September 30th, 2026
To ensure inclusivity and accessibility of ICSDS to junior researchers from all over the world, IMS is pleased to announce a new support fund for junior faculties and post-doctoral researchers who do not have other forms of institutional support for their registration expense. Each award includes 700 USD for all-inclusive registration, one year of IMS membership (105 USD), and potential travel support. This fund is generously sponsored by the industry friends of IMS. Junior Researcher Travel Support applications are due September 30th, 2026.
