Administrative Director and Co-owner
Courtney has been in an administrative role, off and on, for over 15 years. She has contributed to the success of many businesses, including her own, and is excited to be part of the Impact Volleyball Academy vision! Although Courtney has never played volleyball before, she has come to love the game through coaching her daughter’s recreation team and then cheering her on the past 4 years in club.
Club Director and Co-Owner
Susan will be starting her 5th year as a club coach in the area. She gained her experience from being a setter for Belton High School where she held a school record and received district and conference honors multiple years. She went on to play at Avila University and was awarded MVP. Prior to starting Impact Volleyball Academy, Susan found her love for coaching with a local club team for 3 years. Susan says, “I love to teach this sport to players who are just as invested as I am. Seeing players reach their potential, coaching teams who put in the work and then seeing positive results come from it all put together...that is the ultimate reward.”
Kara will be starting her 2nd year with Impact! She is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Summit Christian Academy in Lee's Summit, MO where she has coached for five years. Her volleyball experience goes all the way back to playing club in the KC area since she was 12. She then went on to play for four years on Varsity in high school and continued playing at the collegiate level at Evangel University in Springfield, MO. Kara says, "Volleyball is my passion and I'm excited to be working with the 14's this year and see how the girls grow in their skills and their love for the game."
This will be Caressa's 2nd year coaching with Impact and her experience with competitive volleyball is something we value! Caressa began taking volleyball very seriously when she became a freshman at Adrian High School in Adrian, MO. Once she got a feel for the Varsity level of playing she knew she wanted to take her passion further. At 15 years old she was offered her first position playing on a competitive club team as a Middle Hitter. She continued to play competitive club volleyball throughout high school. At the end of her senior year of high school she was offered a position playing outside hitter on the Avila University Eagles Volleyball team where she played for two years. She is very excited to have the opportunity to pass her knowledge and experience onto the 14's team and help them succeed at whatever level they decide to pursue.
This will be Travis’ first year coaching with Impact. He has been a coaching competitive youth sports for over 15 years. He was part of the Fort Osage High School Girls Volleyball program under Connie Truelove from his Freshman year in High School through his Senior Year. He played power volleyball, baseball and basketball in High School, and decided to further his sporting career with baseball. He graduated from Park University and is currently working for Burns & McDonnell. Travis’s coaching philosophy is his top priority; “We are not only coaching kids to become elite athletes, we are teaching them life values that will help them become better adults in the future.” He is excited to be coaching with Susan on the 15s team this upcoming season and is ready for the challenge to help these girls excel in each of their individual abilities and as a TEAM.
