Virtual Tours Easy

Virtual Tour Easy is a virtual application which allows users to create, upload and share 360° panoramic photos.  It is used to create virtual tours and stories. Users can view the virtual content on the web, and/or using an applicable virtual reality headset.

Activity 2: Create your story using Virtual Tours Easy

Step 1: Creating an account… 

1.1.  Go to Virtual Tour Easy: www.virtualtoureasy.com


1.2.  Choose Sign Up, and login using your social networks, or create a account with an email address.


Step 2: Uploading the photos… 

2.1 .  Go to the Desktop and find the folder with the 360° photos.

2.2 .  Go to the Virtual Tour Easy, and on the dashboard, choose Create Virtual Tour to get started.


2.3.  Once you're on the Virtual Tour Builder, upload your 360° pictures by clicking on the cloud icon. Find the photo folder on the Desktop and click on the Upload button. Wait until your images are done uploading. 

Step 3. Organizing your images… 

Think about how you are going to organize the photos in order to support the narrative.  

To organize your photos, simply hold down the left side on the mouse to select a photo at the bottom part of the Tour Builder and move it to where you want.

Then, select Snapshot, the element that allows you to select how you want your scene to appear first and where you want your scene to start. 


3.1.  To use snapshot, select the "Snapshot" button, which is found at the centre of the Tour Builder. Then, find the best angle where you want your scene to begin.

3.2.  Once found, simply click on the "Snapshot" icon. Once updated, the scene's thumbnail will change to reflect your choice.

Step 4. Inserting tour information…  

With each photo, you can add a title, a description and if desired audio. 

4.1.  Left click on the photo of your choice and then click on the EDIT button to write a title and description for your photo. 

4.2.  If desired, you can edit the image by clicking on Image and then use the basic editing tools to edit the photo. 

4.3.  Click Save. 


🎵 Use Google’s Song Maker to make a song and then convert the file from a WAV to a MP3, or find and use music from copyright-free and royalty-free sources.. 

Step 5. Inserting Hotspots… 

Hotspot is an element you can use to link the photos together to create one seamless narrative. Hotspots can also be used to add textual information and weblinks.  

5.1.  Select the photo where you want to create a Hotspot.

5.2Left click on the Hotspot button, and a Cross sign will appear.

5.3.   Place the hotspot point where you want it in the scene by holding down the left click and moving the mouse. 

Step 6. Linking images together with Hotspots…

6.1.  Double left click on the hotspot created to add a Hotspot Name, then select a photo you want to link to, and then select your preferred Icon. 

6.2.  If desired, you may create an Info Point and a Link to Website using Hotspots too.  Info Point where you can  embed video, for example from the YouTube. This would be a great way to begin the people in your photographs to life, by giving them the opportunity to express their perspectives in vidoe.  

6.3.  Click Save

Step 7. Completing your story - Tour Info...

Complete your virtual tour by filling out the Tour Info, Settings, Location and Audio inside the Filter button.  

7.1.  Under the Tour Info tab, type in a tour description.  

Step 8. Completing your story - Settings...

Under the Tour Info tab, type in a tour description. Under the Settings tab, you can set the Spherical view and Rotational Speed. This allows you to set the zoom degree, and either you will have the image rotating or not.  

8.1.  On the Scene Selector drop down menu, select Hide.

8.2.  On the Sharing Options drop down menu, select Public (everybody can see). 

Step 9. Completing your story - Location...

If desired, under the Location tab, set the location in which your story is based. 

Step 10. Completing your story - Audio...

If desired, under the Audio tab, you can upload an audio track for the entire tour. 

10.1.  Click on the Upload button, select a MP3 file, then click the Upload  button.  

10.2Once it is uploaded, you will see your file and you can change the volume and other settings including Auto-play which allows it to play immediately and Loop to keep your music playing on repeat. 

10.3Click Save. 

10.4.  After you have completed your tour, preview it by clicking the Eye button on the top-right part of the Tour Builder. Then Virtual Tour preview will appear and use the navigational features to move around the story. 


Activity 3: Share your story 

1. Getting your Story's Weblink 

1.1.  On the top-right part of the Tour Builder, click on the Share button to share your story with others.

1.2.  Either share using the social network icons or click on the Copy button and paste the link on a web browser. 

2. Creating a QR Code from your weblink

2.1.  On web browser, open your story using the copied direct link.

2.2Right click on the screen, and in the menu of options, select Create QR Code for this page.

3.  Scan the QR code using the phone and press play to open the story.
