The Institute of Materials Informatics (IMI) is pleased to announce the launch of a professional workshop titled “Hands-On Training on Density Functional Theory (DFT) with Materials Studio.” This training program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, PhD and early-career researchers, and professionals who aspire to strengthen their computational physics and chemistry simulations.
This training program is designed to provide participants with a strong practical foundation in Density Functional Theory (DFT) and its application in modern materials and molecular simulations using BIOVIA Materials Studio. The workshop emphasizes a hands-on learning approach, enabling participants to confidently perform and interpret first-principles calculations using two widely used computational modules: CASTEP and DMol³.
The Institute of Materials Informatics (IMI) is pleased to announce the launch of a two-week professional course titled “Mastering Research Writing: From Idea to Publication.” This comprehensive and empowering program is designed for graduate and PhD students, early-career researchers, and professionals who aspire to strengthen their academic writing and publication skills.
The course offers a structured and practical pathway through every stage of the research writing process, from shaping an original research idea to producing a polished, publication-ready manuscript.
The Institute of Materials Informatics (IMI) is pleased to announce the launch of a 2-month Certificate Course in Computational Chemistry, focusing on Density Functional Theory (DFT) with hands-on training using ORCA and Gaussian codes. This structured program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students, early-career researchers, and faculty members seeking to strengthen their expertise in computational chemistry and electronic structure methods.
