Imelda Elliott is an Emerita Professor of British and Irish studies (Modern Languages) and of teacher preparation for teachers of English, Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO) , Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.
She is a specialist in modern Irish and British culture and society, especially education policy and public policy in the area of languages and language education.
She studied at University College Dublin (BA and H Dip Ed), at the Sorbonne University Paris (Masters and Doctorate) and at the University of Rennes II (HDR).
