Imelda Elliott is Emerita Professor of English at the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO), Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. She is a specialist in modern Irish, British and French culture and society, especially education policy and public policy in the area of languages and language education.
She is also a director of a property management board (OMC) in Ireland.
She studied at University College Dublin (BA and H Dip Ed), at the Sorbonne University Paris (Masters and Doctorate) and at the University of Rennes II (HDR). She was the Head of the School of Modern Languages (ULCO). She founded and co-directed the language centre (ULCO). She lead a research group on education and languages.
