Begin your career journey before the IMBA begins: prepare your CV and cover letter, send your first applications to internship opportunities within the desired timeframe, practice your interview skills, and learn how to master an assessment center. Content communicated before the program begins via e-mail.
This test will help you clarify your career options, interests, and motivators. IMBA Career Advisors will use the results during your Career Strategy Meetings. This assessment is especially recommended for career-changers and "soul searchers", but is also helpful to reaffirm and refine career options for any student.

Sharpen your leadership skills by serving as Career Representative ("Career Rep") for your section or one of our Career Ambassadors.
Career Rep (by section): participates in monthly meetings to provide feedback and represent the section. Also helps coordinate any Careers meetings with the entire section if needed.
Career Ambassador: voluntary role designed to accelerate the development of international relations with recruiters and job opportunities in different sectors and locations via the Ambassadors' existing networks.

Each day, we publish job opportunities ranging from internships to executive positions in the Job Bank.
Apart from checking the Job Bank regularly, you can also set customized e-mail alerts according to your interests. Bear in mind that, on the whole, about 67% of opportunities come from students' individual networks, and about 7% are handled by executive search firms.

The Career Work Book is a template that you will complete, update, and share with your Career Advisor as you define your Career Strategy. Begin working on the document and meeting with your IMBA Career Advisor as soon as possible, especially if your goal is working in consulting or finance. Target your top companies and research internship and MBA-related opportunities and deadlines.

The CV Book is a collection of CVs from your intake that Talent & Careers actively distributes to employers. It serves as marketing tool to raise your profile’s visibility. Your Career Advisor will send this to specific companies upon request.
Follow these steps to have your CV included in the CV Book:

2. To submit your CV, log into the Career Portal and go to: Documents > Opt-in Books > upload your CV as "[FULL NAME] CV Book" > "Add Resume" for CV Book IMBA January 2018 [CHOOSE LANGUAGE].
in the same section of the Career Portal, you may also add your CV to sector-specific CV Books, which will only be used for internal reference by T&C when needed.
3. Once uploaded, the status will show as "Pending" until T&C e-mails you to confirm your CV has been included in the corresponding CV Book.

The Ley de Apoyo al Emprendedor y su Internacionalización ("LEI") recognizes IE as a prestigious university; therefore, our alumni who meet the requirements (including having received a job offer) enter into a fast-track process to obtain work and residency permits.
