This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App"), available on the Apple App Store, including both our Free version (with advertisements) and Premium/Pro version (paid, ad-free).
By downloading, installing, or using Image Converter, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Overview of Our Processing Model
Image Converter is designed with a privacy-first architecture. All file conversions—including image, video, audio, and document conversions—are processed 100% locally on your device. Your files are never uploaded to external servers for processing.
Key Privacy Commitment: We do NOT upload, transmit, or store your images, videos, audio files, or documents on any remote server. All conversion, compression, resizing, cropping, watermarking, metadata removal, GIF creation, collage making, and filtering operations happen entirely on your device.
2. Information We Collect

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

3. Photo Library & File Access
The App requires access to your Photo Library to select images and videos for conversion. This access is governed by Apple's privacy framework:
Photo Library Access: Used solely to import images/videos you select for conversion and to save converted files back to your library.
Camera Access: If you choose to capture photos directly for conversion (optional feature).
File System Access: Used to import and export files through the iOS Files app and document picker.
All accessed files remain on your device and are processed locally. Temporary files created during conversion are automatically deleted after processing or when you clear the cache.
4. Advertising (Free Version Only)
4.1 Ad Networks
The Free version of Image Converter displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks. These may include, but are not limited to:
Google AdMob
Apple Search Ads
Meta Audience Network
Unity Ads
Other programmatic advertising partners
4.2 Types of Ads
Banner Ads: Displayed at the bottom of certain screens.
Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads shown between certain actions (e.g., after completing a conversion).
Rewarded Video Ads: Optional ads you may watch to unlock temporary Pro features or additional daily conversions.
Native Ads: Integrated within the app's content feed.
4.3 Ad Tracking & Personalization
Under Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, we will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes. You may:
Decline tracking when prompted (you will receive non-personalized ads)
Change your preference at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
Upgrade to Premium to remove all advertisements entirely
4.4 Ad-Related Data Processing
Ad networks may collect and process:
Device identifiers (IDFA, with your consent)
IP address (for approximate geo-targeting)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, views)
Device information (model, OS, screen size)
General location (country/region level, NOT precise GPS)
Premium Benefit: Premium/Pro subscribers enjoy a completely ad-free experience. No advertising SDKs are active, and no ad-related data is collected for Premium users.
5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
All purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store. We do NOT directly collect or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.
Apple manages: Payment processing, subscription renewals, billing, and refunds.
We receive: Only a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status. This receipt does not contain personal financial information.
For subscription management, cancellation, or refund requests, please visit your Apple ID settings or contact Apple Support.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
App Functionality: To provide, maintain, and improve the App's core features.

8. Data Retention
Converted Files: Stored locally on your device until you delete them or clear the app cache. We have no access to these files.
Conversion History: Stored locally on your device. Cleared when you clear cache or uninstall the App.
Analytics Data: Retained in anonymized/aggregated form for up to 24 months.
Support Correspondence: Retained for up to 36 months after resolution.
Ad-Related Data: Managed by respective ad network partners per their own retention policies.
9. Data Security
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
All file processing occurs on-device, eliminating server-side data exposure risks.
No user files are transmitted over the internet.
Analytics data is transmitted via encrypted connections (TLS/SSL).
We regularly review and update our security practices.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Image Converter is rated 4+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
The Free version may display age-appropriate advertisements. We work with ad partners to ensure compliance with COPPA and similar regulations.
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information.
Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information should contact us immediately.
11. Your Rights & Choices
11.1 All Users
Access & Deletion: Request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you.
Opt-out of Analytics: Disable analytics via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Clear Local Data: Use the "Clear Cache" feature in Settings to remove all locally stored conversion data.
Uninstall: Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
11.2 Free Version Users
Ad Tracking: Control via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Personalized Ads: Opt out at any time; you will still see non-personalized ads.
Remove Ads: Upgrade to Premium to eliminate all advertising.
11.3 EU/EEA Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR:
Right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data
Right to restrict or object to processing
Right to data portability
Right to withdraw consent at any time
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
11.4 California Users (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have additional rights:

Right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information
Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We do not "sell" personal information as defined under CCPA. The sharing of identifiers with ad networks for targeted advertising in our Free version may constitute "sharing" under CPRA; you may opt out via the ATT prompt.
11.5 Brazil Users (LGPD)
Users in Brazil have rights under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, including access, correction, deletion, and data portability.
11.6 Other Jurisdictions
We respect privacy laws worldwide. If your jurisdiction provides additional data protection rights, we will honor them upon request.
12. International Data Transfers
While your file processing is entirely local, anonymized analytics and ad-related data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

Data processing agreements with all third-party partners
Compliance with applicable cross-border transfer mechanisms

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., our support pages). This Privacy Policy applies only to Image Converter. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and/or on our website. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notification or App Store update notes.
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
