The ImagEAT Workshop will host a Demo Competition aimed at showcasing cutting-edge applications of imaging, artificial intelligence (AI), and augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) in the field of food research and nutrition.
Participants will present interactive demonstrations of systems, prototypes, or tools that reflect the practical implementation of research in areas such as food safety, traceability, personalized nutrition, and consumer engagement.
Authors of accepted papers who wish to join the Demo Competition are invited to submit a brief abstract (max 300 words) describing their demo, including:
the purpose and scientific relevance of the demo
its technical components (e.g., imaging, AI models, AR tools)
its innovation potential and practical applications.
Abstracts should be submitted by email to one of the workshop organizers.
All demos will be presented in dedicated interactive sessions during the workshop. The best demo will receive the ImagEAT Innovation Award, a commemorative plaque awarded during the closing session.
A panel of experts will evaluate the demos based on:
Innovation
Technical quality
Clarity and user experience
Relevance to workshop topics.
