His research areas are graphic narratives for communication, the visual language of graphic narratives, and designing for education through storytelling. Arnav's research interests include Indic Script Studies, Typography, Design for Early Childhood Education, and Visual Culture. His PhD research focuses on Odia typography, particularly children’s letterform comprehension and early writing instruction and assessment in the Odia script.
