This Privacy Policy explains how we processes information in our image-identification iOS applications.
Our Apps process images you choose to upload or capture.
We may also process limited information necessary to operate the Apps, including:
An anonymous or account identifier;
Subscription and purchase status;
Identification usage and quota information;
Language preferences;
Optional photo-location information for features that require it; and
Limited technical information, such as IP address, device or app-attestation data, and error logs.
We do not sell your personal information or use uploaded images for advertising.
When you submit an image:
The image is temporarily received by our backend;
It is analyzed using a Google Gemini AI model;
The identification result is returned to you; and
We do not intentionally save the image permanently on our servers.
Images are processed only to provide the identification or analysis you request.
AI-generated results may be inaccurate and should not be treated as medical, safety, navigation, appraisal, or other professional advice.
We use Google Gemini exclusively as the AI model for image identification.
Requests are currently routed through OpenRouter, which securely transmits the image to Google Gemini and returns the result to us.
OpenRouter and Google may temporarily process or retain information for purposes such as providing the service, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, billing, or legal compliance. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies:
Although the Apps are not designed to identify people, submitted images may incidentally contain faces.
We do not perform facial recognition and do not create faceprints, facial profiles, or biometric identifiers. Any face appearing in a photo is processed only as part of the complete image submitted for identification.
Because the complete image is sent for AI analysis, images containing faces may be transmitted through OpenRouter and processed by Google Gemini. We do not sell face data or use it for identification, tracking, advertising, or profiling.
Uploaded images are temporarily held in memory while the request is processed and are not intentionally stored as permanent image files on our servers.
Limited account, subscription, usage, security, and technical records may be retained for as long as necessary to operate the Apps, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and resolve technical issues.
Images or results you choose to save may be stored locally on your device or included in your device backups. We do not have access to locally saved images unless you submit them again.
We use the following services to operate the Apps:
Google Firebase for authentication, App Check, usage records, and backend security;
RevenueCat for subscription and purchase-entitlement management;
Apple for App Store purchases and device services; and
OpenRouter and Google Gemini for image analysis.
These providers process information according to their respective privacy policies.
We use reasonable security measures to protect information during processing. Data transmitted between the Apps, our backend, and our service providers is encrypted using industry-standard protocols such as HTTPS.
No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through an App, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will publish the revised policy and update its effective date when changes are made.
