Here is a list of web resources that I found helpful either while creating this project or throughout the semester. All of these resources are free, but require payment for higher quality versions or for access to all its tools (honestly, the free versions are usually perfect).
An easy and accessible tool to create posters, images and infographics that can explain complex ideas in a digestible way (also the tool I used to create most of the diagrams in "Article Summary" section). It is very fun to use, and if you are like me - you have no experience in graphic design- it makes you feel like you are making professional work!
I used Wix to make the memes in "Online Learning Experience." It is supposed to be used to create your own website, but for me, it was a great place to get ideas. It was a bit too complex for me to use to build a website for the first time. If you have a good understanding of technology and website creation I would use this programme!
A good tool to share "to do" lists/ due dates when working communally online (or even in person). It is a great place to organize thoughts, and brainstorms. It uses it's own coding system for formatting so if you are a stickler for formatting thoughts in a specific way, it might be more difficult for you to get the hang of it.
Perfect platform for meeting as a large group. Everyone can see each other and you can break out into smaller groups. AND you can use fun backgrounds for the days your home is especially messy.
If you have the basic plan you can only meet for 40 minutes at a time, but this can easily be fixed by preparing 2 or more Zoom links for your meeting.
Google drive is a place to share various documents (slides, spreadsheets, forms) and work on them individually or as a team. It is very user friendly (my favourite platform for online group work) and was used to make this website! I think that Google Hangouts however (to video call each other), is the one tool that is not very good and I would not use.
