Day 1

“It is important for all of us to see ourselves in books.” – Dr. Jerrie Cobb Scott, founder of the African American Read-In

Welcome To Day 1!

Today, you will be working in groups to navigate four different stations. Each station centers around a "text", and has questions/activities for you to use to engage with that text. You can go through the stations in any order you like! Please spend 15 minutes on each station, and make sure to take notes about your thoughts and ideas as you go through them. We hope you enjoy exploring Black voices and seeing the world through new perspectives.
