Week Three
This week we'll focus on Chapters 6 and 7. This sets the stage for our final week next week where you'll be making a personal and professional choice.
After you've read the chapters - skim, scan, read or dive into the text, however you want to engage is the right way to GO!
Once you've finished reading, check out the Dive Into UDL website for some additional ways to learn. Work at your own level, go at your own pace!
- DIP IN - Send out a Tweet or post a link to a blog reflection you've written for this week's readings.
- WADE IN -
- Prepare a 30-second voice message about something you've learned this week. Use a mobile phone recording tool such as VoiceRecord (Android | iOS), then post your message to Soundcloud. To wade in deeper, share the link to this recording.
- Create and share a #booksnap (an annotated digital, visual representation that reflects on an excerpt from the book) of an important sentence or phrase from Chapters 6 or 7. There are many different ways to create booksnaps – see this page for how-to videos using various tools.
- SWIM IN - Share your voice on a Flipgrid video (password: dive2019) to talk about something that connects your thoughts about anything from this week's chapter options. Think about what it means to your teaching and/or learning. How will you take this forward into future practice with learners? See more information about Flipgrid when you scroll down this page. Your video can be up to 2 minutes.
- DIVE IN - Review the Flipgrid videos that have been shared. Leave a message responding to one or two others in the reading community. Tweet out if you know their Twitter handle to let them know you've left a comment. As you review the videos, try to add a response so everyone has one or two messages to come back to.
For those who are new to Flipgrid - here's a chance to get to explore this digital resource. It's available free for educators thanks to the generous support from Microsoft.
