Fun Fact: What a surprise! Although I'm someone who's heard well over a hundred 'true' ghost stories over the past forty years, I'm now hearing dozens more from readers of Out of the Wild Night, which is a mystery laced with ghosts. Every audience I've spoken with in past months has shared their own 'true' ghost stories, wherever I go! How can this be? Lucky me!

Fun Fact: I made a total of 39 zine for the The First Rule of Punk, but only 10 ended up in the final book. [Book fact] I went on a 9-city zine reading tour in a zinemobile (a zine library inside an Astro van!) along with zine-making librarian friends. [Personal fact]

Fun Fact: Early drafts had the main character older, the language stronger, and scenes darker until a rejection from an agent said, "This isn't even YA, I don't know why you wrote it YA." She was right and I revised it all as MG and it was much better.
