USIM’s philosophy of integration in naqli and aqli knowledge shape the concept of comprehensive knowledge delivery for graduates to possess both universality and soft skills. The incorporation of aqli aspect in the Quranic and Sunnah studies, as well as the emphasis on naqli aspect in worldly studies, have become the main underpinning in curriculum development for this university.
Pertaining to that, this conference can be seen as a platform to share knowledge through the three main languages which are Arabic, English and Malay. With the chosen theme – Language and Education: New Norms – this conference aims to provide the platform for scholars to share their research findings and best practices as the point of reference in navigating universal challenges like the Covid-19 pandemic. Simultaneously, this two-day conference highlights the fact that language studies remain relevant in various contexts. This conference also intends to stress the notion that language and education continue to be effective and relevant when fundamentals are given due importance in navigating challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
