Performance & Composition

I am working simultaneously in several stylistic areas. As a church organist, I am glad to contribute into daily and weekly process of worship by arranging and performing hymns, anthems, praise songs, and spirituals. Needless to say that I keep discovering great talents among church goers and they help me in this joyful work.

I also cherish my ethnic heritage and the exerience of a folklorist. Hence, I have translated into English, arranged, harmonized and performed a number of folk songs from different traditions.

I like to play jazz! My wife Dr. Iraida Poberezhnaya shares this admiration and we often play our own jazz arrangments for piano and harp.

And, the last but not the least, I naturally express myself on an instrument, without which I cannot imagine myself.
