I started playing the flute when I was in 5th grade. I joined the marching band for the first time when I was in 7th grade. Our school was so small that they would invite interested middle-schoolers to join the High School band and I jumped at the opportunity. It was always one of the best parts of my week performing at the football games! I continued to play with the marching band all through high school, even switching to piccolo in my junior year. In my junior year of high school, I was selected to be the woodwinds section leader and in my senior year, I was selected to be drum major! When I got accepted to the University of Delaware, I immediately auditioned for the band and I am so glad I did. Marching band is such an incredibly rewarding activity and I get to play music and have fun with so many of my friends. I am also honored to have been chosen as a rank leader for both my junior and senior year. I love that I can help others enjoy marching band just as much as I do.

I have been singing my entire life (maybe even before I was speaking). My dad was a barbershop singer so music was always a part of my life and I couldn't help but join in. I was in chorus from 2nd grade until senior year of high school and when I got to college, I jumped at the opportunity to audition for an A Capella group. When I got into DelReMi, I was ecstatic! I love all of the people in this group and they have very quickly become some of my best friends. I was honored when they elected me vice president in the Fall of 2023 and even more honored when they elected me president for the first time in the Spring 2024 semester and again for the entirety of my senior year. I love making beautiful music with some of my very best friends.

I am so disappointed that it took me until my Sophomore year to join Pep Band. It is some of the most fun I have ever had. We play at every home basketball game at the University of Delaware. The atmosphere in that arena is purely electric. It is so much fun to play off of the energy of both the players and the crowd.
