Mohammad Samizadeh Nikoo received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2015 and 2017 respectively, where he developed a new theory describing electrical solitons in nonlinear transmission lines. He completed his PhD in electrical engineering at EPFL in 2022, where he focused on high-speed electronics based on Gallium Nitride and Vanadium Dioxide, as well as innovative integrated devices based on nano-scale plasma (Nanoplasma). He then joined Integrated Systems Laboratory at ETH Zurich as a postdoctoral researcher, where he worked on new types of devices on CMOS platforms.
In October 2023, he joined the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at NTU as a Tenure-track Assistant Professor. He was appointed as a Singapore National Research Foundation Fellow in 2024. He leads the Innovative Electronic and Electromagnetic Devices Laboratory (i–Lab), focusing on new device solutions to deal with the challenges of information technologies.
