Short Biography

Professor Kwon received his Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. He joined the faculty of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University in 2010, and has held various administrative positions, including Editor-in-Chief of the Korean Journal of Policy Studies (KJPS), Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and Chair of the Public Enterprise Policy Program. He currently teaches courses on Economic Analysis, Games and Information Theory, and Quantitative Analysis. His recent research interests include corporate and public sector governance, R&D investment, entrepreneurship, and policy evaluation.

권일웅 교수는 하버드 대학교에서 경제학 박사학위를 취득하였으며, 미시간 대학교와 뉴욕주립대학교(SUNY)-Albany 에서 조교수로 재직하였다. 2010년 서울대학교 행정대학원에 부임한 이후, Korean Journal of Policy Studies(KJPS) 편집위원장, 교무부원장, 공기업정책학과장 등 보직을 역임하였다. 현재는 경제분석, 게임 및 정보이론, 계량분석 과목을 강의하고 있으며, 최근 연구 관심 분야는 기업 및 공공부문 거버넌스, 연구개발(R&D) 투자, 기업가정신, 정책평가 등이다.
