INTERVIEW QUESTION TO ASK
- how would you normally help new employees with learning the requirements
REQUIREMENTS ARE ALWAYS THERE
- documented
- ideal (sitting in people's minds)
FIRST DAY AT WORK
- ask which application they want their product to be like
- ask to whom you should direct your questions if they pop up (first line of defence)
What is a Build?
All 3 are the result of product compilation
- build - immediate result of the compilation - has enumeration for INTERNAL use
- release - the build meant to go to the production - keeps the internal enumeration of the build
- version - enumeration given to the outside world/users - EXTERNAL
Rules of Successful Interviewing:
1. Rule of minus-zero-plus
- CORRECT answer is not good enough
- we have to beat (get ahead of) the crowd (competition)
2. Multiple classification criteria for a test case exist at the same time:
- black box
- manual
- integration
- positive
- regression
3. Practical answer is better than academic
- For each type of test provide an example from your practice (connect to work experience)
4. For each type of test tell what the challenge was and how you overcame that challenge at work
5. Providing Multiple opinions in definitions is very helpful
6. Ask how they define same thing in their company
7. Answer should sound naturally, not as it was simply memorized
8. Timing – make answers brief and 100% to the point. Ask/offer if more details are needed.
