International Programs
Australia Study Tour
40 Ikuno students and 2 teachers spend two weeks in Hervey Bay, Australia. Students stay with Australian families and attend Fraser Coast Anglican College. This program helps students develop a global mindset while learning about different cultures and studying English. This program has been stopped during the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to bring it back after it becomes safer to travel abroad.

Whale Watching
Students have a chance to see Humpback whales up close from a boat.
Students get a one day tour of the largest all-sand island in the world. The island is home to beautiful lakes, a rainforest and pristine beaches.
Campus Life
Fraser Coast Anglican College has a large and beautiful campus. Sometimes, kangaroos can be seen hopping on the grounds.
Asia Study Tour: Korea & China
Ikuno students have an opportunity to visit Korea or China (it changes every year). This is a 3 day program in which students can visit an Asian country and be involved in a cultural exchange. The trip usually includes sightseeing as well as a one day visit at a local high school. This program has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. We have to reintroduce this program when it becomes safer to travel abroad.

Korea
In 2017 and 2018, Students spent 3 days in Korea sightseeing and spending time with high school students at Younghoon High School in Seoul.
China
In December 2019, students spent 3 days in China. Their adventures included some sightseeing spots as well as a one day visit to Guangzhou Foreign Language School.
America Science Tour
This 10 day program takes students to the East coast of America where they visit famous institutions such as the Smithsonian Institute, Nasa, Harvard and MIT. In addition, they spend time at Montgomery Blair High School where they take classes and interact with American students. This program has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to resume this program when it becomes safer to travel abroad.

The Smithsonian Museum
Located in Washinton D.C., students have an opportunity to visit the premier institution for space exploration in the world.
Empowerment Program (校内留学)
University students from high level universities abroad and within Japan conduct a 5 day program all in English. This program helps students develop positive thinking and critical thinking skills. Students are put in small groups and are tasked with discussing global problems and coming up with solutions. Students make presentations as groups and individually all in English.
We held this program for the 3rd time from August 2nd until August 6th, 2021.
34 students joined the program.
We will hold this program again in summer of 2022!
