How to complete registration & payment
Step 1: Pre-register
You must be 18 or older and pre-register from our Registration page. (10 students MAX for each class)
The instructor (kokusai.ijls@gmail.com) will let you know that you are either "one of the first 10 registrants" or "placed on the waiting list."
Pre-registration guarantees you a spot in the class as long as you complete the payment on Saturday, September10th. Failure to make the payment can result in losing your spot if there are people on the waiting list. Zoom link will be sent to you after IJLS receives your payment.
We unfortunately CANNOT accept checks via mail or cash/credit card/wire transfers. If you are unable to come to the school on September 10th, please email kokusai.ijls@gmail.com or ijls@indiana-j-school.net with the subject line "JAPANESE LANGUAGE CLASS" to arrange another time, but please know the office hours are very limited as the IJLS faculty's main focus is to keep the K-12 students safe during covid protocols.
If you missed the start day but still want to join mid-trimester, the class fee will NOT be prorated or refunded for any missed sessions.
Step 2: Payment due on Saturday, September 10th (10am to noon)
Please visit us at The Orchard School with a check or money order ($45.00) payable to "Indiana Japanese Language School."
No cash, credit card or wire transfers.
Checks with incorrect payee names cannot be accepted and could result in missing your first class.
At The Orchard School building, the instructor will have a station in the vestibule of the main entrance (the indoor space between the outside door and the lobby).
Please remember to maintain a 6ft distance from others, and only the faculty and K-12 students are allowed in the building, which means we cannot let you in the actual building even to use the restroom.
In order for the school to provide learning opportunities to as many participants as possible, please note that each participant can register for ONE class (9 sessions) per trimester. If you would like to take another class/level, please wait until the next trimester starting in January 2023.
Step 3: After IJLS receives your payment
The instructor will email you the Zoom link for the class and additional instructions. Please send a quick "OK" or "Got it" so we know our emails aren't going to your spam/junk folder. If you do not hear from us by Thursday, Setember 15th, please email kokusai.ijls@gmail.com with the subject line "Waiting for Zoom link."
On day 1 of class, please make sure your first & last name matches your application form when you sign in to Zoom so your instructor and classmates know it's you.
Please turn on the web camera on Zoom when the instructor joins, and please remember the sessions are being recorded for the school to audit.
