Yash opted to approach Atharva directly, but Divya cautioned him against revealing any information to Atharva to avoid causing chaos and compromising their identities. Respecting Divya's advice, Yash devised a plan to stay close to Atharva, ready to intervene if needed, without disclosing any details to him.
Following this plan, Yash spent the entire day of April 24th with Atharva. Around 11 PM, they decided to head to the Central Arcade of IITGN. As midnight approached, Yash heard footsteps ascending the stairs. Glancing at his phone, he realized it was now April 25th, 12:07 AM. Suddenly, Yash heard a noise, and a dart struck Atharva's neck, causing him to collapse. Another dart was fired at Yash, but he managed to dodge it.
Rushing towards the assailants, Yash identified them as members of the Protectors team. Questioning their actions, Yash demanded, “Why are you doing this?” One of the Protectors confessed that they were behind the disappearances at IITGN, asserting it was for a greater good. He explained that the missing individuals were sacrifices to appease a dark spirit, preventing an impending doomsday. He warned Yash that failing to make these sacrifices would unleash the doomsday, which was inevitable.
Faced with this revelation, Yash had to make a difficult choice:
