Welcome to the 2nd EECS Colloquium !

The EECS Colloquium series is a theme-based initiative of the Division of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Sciences (EECS) at IISc and organized by the faculty and students of the Division. The objective of the series is to provide a state-of-the-art update on research issues, challenges, and directions on emerging topics of interest to the faculty members and students of the Division, and technical professionals from the industry, R&D Labs, engineering colleges, and alumni. This half a day event is organized once every three months in the IISc Campus.

The first of these events was on the topic of Systems Security. The second event will be held on Friday, 31st August 2018 on the topic on Power Engineering . The schedule is planned as follows.

14.15-14.55 : Invited Talk by Prof S. A. Soman, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT-Bombay

14.55-15.35 : Invited Talk by Prof. L. Umanand, Department of Electronic Systems Engineering, IISc

15.35-15.50 : Coffee Break

15.50-16.30 : Invited Talk by Dr. Praveen Vijayaraghavan, Integrated Electric Company, Bangalore

16.30-18.00 : Poster Session on the theme of Power Engineering by PhD students and IISc alumni (startups and industry leaders). This session will be in parallel with a High Tea session.
