About iiiD-Lab

iiiD-Lab is a research and design laboratory located at National Tsing Hua University. Its primary focus is on investigating the convergence of technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and design that prioritizes human needs and experiences.

Our research initiatives include a diverse array of endeavors focused on creating innovative ways to increase the interface between humans and technology, boost communication and cooperation, and advocate for inclusive design standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (current undergraduates are also welcome) or higher, or significant experience in a field relevant to HCI, demonstrating the ability or very strong interest to conduct HCI design research.

• Passionate about human-centered design and AI research and implementation.

• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, or a strong eagerness to learn solid research methods.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a diversity of stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent scientific writing skills are a plus.

Research Associate/Assistant Responsibilities

• Field Studies - Observe and interview relevant stakeholders, such as health professionals and clients, service providers and receivers. Plan and carry out experiments, conduct interviews, and surveys.

• System design - organize participatory design workshop to create or confirm potential applications, such chatbots.

• System evaluation -Assess the performance and effectiveness of our systems.

• Engage in literature reviews and actively contribute to research debates pertaining to the design of technology and artificial intelligence.

• Gather, examine, and evaluate qualitative and quantitative research data.

• Compile comprehensive research reports and create compelling presentations.

• Provide support in project management and do other administrative duties.
