About Tim Welch

Hello Families!

I am excited to work with you here at IHLA this year. This is my 4th year with IHLA. I have worked on the K-4 side of IHLA before, as well as 5 years in Alaska. Two school years ago, I worked with K-4th-grade students with IHLA, doing Social Skills groups. 

This is my 10th year as a School Counselor. I spent 5 of these years in remote Alaska covering a school district the size of West Virginia. It is great to be back in Idaho, where I grew up. I received my Master's in Psychology of School Counseling from Utah State University in 2015. In Alaska, I interacted with K-12 students in various ways.

Since moving back to Inkom, Idaho, in 2020,  I have also become a Certified Performance Mindset Coach, working with Middle School and High School athletes to improve their mental game. Our family of four loves to get outside, play games, watch movies, and go on adventures.
