British standards covering flues-

BS5440 part 1 and 2-

Part 1 covers; Flueing and ventilation for gas appliances of rated input not exceeding 70 kW net (1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases)

Part 2 covers; Flueing and ventilation for gas appliances of rated input not exceeding 70 kW net (1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases). Specification for the installation and maintenance of ventilation provision for gas appliances

Classes of appliances - A, B and C

Flues

A - Flueless

B - Open flued

C - Room sealed

Class 1 - usually a brick built chimney

Class 2 - pre cast

Class 3 - flue liner
