Britt Forsberg

Program Coordinator, University of Minnesota Extension. St. Paul, Minnesota.

As the program coordinator for the Minnesota Bee Atlas, Britt works with volunteers across Minnesota to help study the diversity and distribution of the roughly 400 native bee species in the state. This includes leading workshops, producing educational materials, and managing social media as well as the occasional stint in the lab. Since the beginning of the project in 2015, Bee Atlas volunteers have documented nearly 30,000 bees, notably including the federally endangered rusty patched bumble bee and multiple species that have not been previously documented in Minnesota.
