I am a 2nd through 5th grade science teacher at Chinese American International School in San Francisco. Last year was my first year teaching elementary students; I have taught middle school students for about 10 years.

This summer, I had the privilege of learning more about the brain, its functions and materials science from the incredible scientists at the Hong Neurotechnology Lab, where materials science meets the mind.

My challenge was to bring the lessons from Neurotechnology to elementary school students to get them excited about potential jobs in this field.
