Fixing Mangled Tables

RowSpan Example

A table created in Word has merged cells.

Copying and pasting this table in iQualify will result in the following issue.

We need to 'pop' out the merged cells. On paste all cells are given a ColsSpan of 1. i.e. they only span one column of the table.

In this example the merged cells spanned two columns so we need to change their ColSpan to 2.

Click in the cell to change. NB:Don't double click.

Right click and choose

iFormat-> Tables->Cell-ColSpan

This will bring up a dialog box.

Enter 2 and click OK

This will 'pop' out the column.

Repeat for the remaining rows.

The same principle is used for rows that have been merged.
