Health policies, education, public and global health are the main concerns of the Standing Committee on Public Health. It focuses on mental and physical diseases including both communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as the factors affecting them, such as smoking and obesity. SCOPH plays an active part in promoting communities’ health mainly through disease prevention, such as their public medical days, as well as raising awareness.
