The Standing Committee on Professional Exchange is a professional exchange program offering clerkships to medical students abroad. It aims to give all students the opportunity to learn about global health and attains this by having its exchanges accredited by medical faculties across the world. Annually, around 13,000 students from more than 90 countries travel around the world to discover new health systems, new cultures and to enhance their global health and intercultural understanding.
Exchange is a crucial part of IFMSA which provides its members with one of the biggest educational opportunities. IFMSA consists of two exchange programs; one of them is by SCORE (research exchange) and the other one is by SCOPE (professional exchange).
The two programs include outgoings and incomings. Our qualified student that get accepted for exchange are given the chance to travel for about a month either for participating in scientific research (research exchange) or for a full-time internship in a hospital (professional exchange).
Each term we host an exchange program in Jordan for students from different countries to take part in an unforgettable experience either in the research program or the professional one with our generous partner “Al-Kindi Hospital.”
