산업생태학 및 지속가능공학연구실 (IESEL)은 제품 및 서비스와 시스템의 전과정 환경영향을 전과정평가(LCA)와
에너지 및 물질흐름분석(MEFA)으로 정량화하고, 탄소·미세먼지·자원발자국과 같은 핵심 환경지표를 개발 및
활용하며, 산업생태학 원리에 기반한 도시 및 산업의 순환성 관리 전략과 기후적응형 그린인프라를 설계하고, AI 및
환경빅데이터를 활용하여 지속가능한 시스템을 과학적으로 모델링하고 최적화하는 포괄적 연구를 수행합니다.

The Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Engineering Laboratory (IESEL) quantifies the environmental impacts of products, services, and systems throughout their entire lifecycles through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Energy and Material Flow Analysis (MEFA). It develops and utilizes key environmental indicators such as carbon, fine dust, and resource footprints. It designs circularity management strategies for cities and industries and climate-adaptive green infrastructure based on industrial ecology principles. It also conducts comprehensive research to scientifically model and optimize sustainable systems using AI and environmental big data.
