IELTA Nepal Digital Book Publishing Project!
(For Educators)
Respected Country Ambassadors and Educators,
We are excited to announce the "IELTA Nepal Digital Book Publishing International Project" on behalf of the International English Language Teachers Association (IELTA) Nepal Branch Office. In this project, we aim to create a digital book showcasing the creative works of learners from different countries. The primary goal of this digital book is to gather the creative works of learners and share them on an international platform. The book will include various types of writing such as poems, brief articles, essays, diary entries, travelogues, creative stories, artwork, drawings, and memories related to unexpected incidents or events, all created by the learners themselves.
We invite volunteer editors and international educators from around the world to assist us in editing the learners' works and shaping the digital book to represent the International English Language Teachers' Association (IELTA). We kindly request the support of the board members and editorial teams for this volunteer initiative to help spread the message globally.
General Guidelines for submitting your students' work:
1. Each student can submit a maximum of two works.
2. The creative works should not involve the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
3. Learners should submit their creative works by renaming their first name, surname, educator's name (for recognition), and country name.
4. The deadline for submissions is November 20, 2024, via email at ielta.nepal@gmail.com or karkisujeet6244@gmail.com. Submissions must be sent via email only, and no work will be accepted after the deadline.
5. The accepted formats for submissions are JPG/PNG for art/pictures and Word Docs (not in PDF) for stories/essays/poems/short articles.
6. Submissions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to limitations in collecting learners' creative work.
7. There are no specific word limits or formats, allowing for flexibility to foster creativity.
8. All submissions will be reviewed by the editorial board, checked for plagiarism and AI involvement, and then sent to international editors for further processing (a lengthy process).
Please note that the digital book is tentatively scheduled for release on December 26, 2024.
Best Regards,
Sujeet Karki
