OBJECTIVES
1. Empower English teachers across the world to succeed in their jobs.
2. Organize workshops about teaching methodology.
3. Organize international events.
4. Organize inter-school contests across the world.
5. Organize events in each country that meet its needs.
6. Create an internship program for teachers and students.
7. Write educational articles and publish them on an E-magazine.
8. Monthly Forums about global issues.
9. Do research on teaching purposes.
10. Open an international teacher school.
DUTIES OF THE MEMBERS OF IELTA
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The board of directors is formed by the president, general secretary, vice president, directors and sub-directors of each department and ambassadors of each country.
1. Duties of the President
The President shall preside over all meetings of the board of directors.
The President shall ensure that all departments are conducted in accordance with the Rules of the association.
The President shall, jointly with the General Secretary, be responsible for the supervision and general direction of the work of the Department directors and ambassadors of each country.
The President shall perform any such other duties in accordance with the decisions of the board of directors.
In the event of the President leaving office prior to completion of his or her term, the Vice President shall serve in a temporary capacity as Acting President until the board of directors elects the new President.
If required, the board of directors will be convened as soon as practicable to elect the new President.
Duties of the General Secretary and Assistant General Secretaries
Subject to the direction of the board of directors, the General Secretary shall:
Act as the principal spokesperson of the association.
Implement the policy and decisions of the association.
Safeguard at all times and in every respect the interests of the association and ensure its legal representation.
Act as the general administrator of the association, including managing and directing operations and handling all staff and other members’ issues.
Direct the financial administration of the association, including the collection of annual dues from affiliates, and direct and implement all financial and other business operations and transactions involving the association in accordance with the decisions of the board of directors.
Keep all proper financial accounts and records current, including information with respect to all income and disbursements in accordance with Federation policies and Rules.
Appoint roles, in consultation with the President, Department directors.
Perform such additional functions as are set out in these Rules or as may be determined from time to time by the board of directors.
Duties of the Vice President
Replace the president in the events or meetings absence.

Duties of the Academic Department Director
DEFINITION AND COMPOSITION OF THE DEPARTMENT
The academic department is the basic administrative unit within I. E. T. A. M. (International English Teachers Association Members) organized to carry on and develop the instructional and research activities of the association. The academic department shall be organized around a particular field of knowledge or around a specific instructional objective or mission, counting on autonomy consistent with its function and responsibility.
The Chair of the academic department shall share the responsibility for the organization of the department with the association. The department shall be organized so that all of its probationary members have a part in formulating policies and procedures that relate to the academic quality of the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHAIR OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Chair shall be administratively responsible for all activities of the department. The Chair is also administratively responsible to the President and Vice president. Through this administrative line of responsibility, the Chair derives the authority to execute the responsibilities cited below. Further, the Chair is the representative of the association of the department with the authority and responsibility, by virtue of the selection process, to represent its views and to promote its best interest as an academic department.
The Chair shall:
exercise leadership in the articulation and formulation of departmental missions, programs, goals, procedures, and policies; implement the policies of the department and serve as the chief representative of the department;
promote the best interests of the department and its members within the association at large except as it may relate to subjects covered by a collective bargaining unit;
administer and supervise the department for effective and professional operations;
initiate all departmental recommendations concerning association and academic staff, new appointments, reappointments, etc.
coordinate the departmental staff, decide matters of association workload, arrange all teaching schedules, coordinate all departmental programs, promote the most effective use of departmental resources, strive to improve the quality of the teaching and research activities of the department, strive to improve the curricular offerings and the academic programs of the department, initiate and consider proposals for changes in the curricula and forward them to the President and Vice president for disposition; and
assume an appropriate teaching load in consultation with the association. The Chair shall normally have some teaching duties during the academic year. The teaching load shall depend on the needs of the department and the demands of administrative duties.
Marketing Department
The Marketing field includes areas of research, strategy and communication. Marketing plays an important role in the association and helps to create value for customers (students) and builds customer relationships.
Marketing department is responsible for creating ads, campaigns and conduct surveys based on detailed market research, is also responsible for the branding efforts of the association. The brand is the identify of the association, it comes in many forms such as name, signs, symbols, and slogans.
One of the most basic and essential duties of the Marketing Department is to oversee advertising and promotion of the services the association offers. This involves the creative element of the campaigns which must include catchy phrases and powerful images, as well deciding when and where to display the advertisements.
Promoting a service also includes going to relevant events to help spread the word and make connections.
Duties of the Marketing Department Director
Responsible for the association's marketing and communication strategies, as well overall branding and image.
Prepares annual and monthly marketing plans, creates a calendar of campaigns and events.
Analyze the market and competitors.
Guide the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategies
Develop a brand strategy.
Manage and refine the organization´s social media presence.
Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Identify new business opportunities.
Duties of the Administration Department Director
The administrative section should ensure administrative activities to run smoothly on a daily and long term basis. Under the supervision of a Director and a sub-director, the main responsibilities of administration department include: organizing , arranging and coordinating all the administrative tasks of IELTA.
Developing organizational policies
Managing administrative budgets
Organizing events(Travels, Meetings, Seminars, Conferences) of IELTA
Hiring and training administrative staff
Negotiating contracts and agreements with external stakeholders or parties
Maintaining IELTA relationships
Liaising with other departments
Monitoring operating expenses
Updating executives on the Association performance
Maintaining proper and orderly documentation or filing for all external and internal parties
Collecting, sorting, distributing, or preparing mail, messages, or courier deliveries
Scheduling appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars
Taking messages and relaying them to the relevant department
Stationery Management (call cards, ID Access etc)
Performing in other administrative tasks
The Administration Department could be divided into Contracts Section, the Purchase Section, the Logistics Section, the mail and message section and the Maintenance Section.
About the maintenance section : Under the supervision of a maintenance manager, It could be in charge of keeping the ground
operations running by managing and overseeing all maintenance related activities.
Concerning contracts section : Under the supervision of contracts managers, they are in charge of Contract drafting, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of its.
Concerning Purchase section : Under the supervision of Sales Manager , it could be in charge of developing all required buying materials and supplies and ensure completion of all activities within required timeframe and design all purchase requisitions and evaluate all comparisons and manage all order materials and services and obtain all approvals.
About the logistic section : Under the supervision of the logistic manager, It could be in charge of coordinating logistic supports in all our events, filing and gathering of documents, attending queries of employees, booking of tickets for travels.
Concerning the mail section : Under the supervision of Chief of mail service, it could be in charge of looking after the suggestion box and email messages of our association.
Duties of the Ambassadors
An ambassador is the President's highest-ranking representative of IELTA abroad. They will lead a committee in their countries (academic, administration, marketing, economic and disciplinary secretaries) supported by all the heads of the association. Their duties are:
Ambassadors are in charge with protecting and promoting IELTA interests among their nations.
They are fully aware of the necessities of the teachers and learners in order to create educational programs to face up to them.
