Promoting research on gamification and games, and collecting and sharing educational material in the field.
The technique known as gamification is becoming increasingly important, due to the rise of video games. It is about incorporating the motivational mechanism of these in non-recreational activities, such as work, business, health, and education. Through a gamified system, it is possible to encourage certain activities and behavioral changes in people, companies, and organizations. Its study requires the crossing of disciplines such as sociology, psychology, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence.
The community in games unites people from industry and academics. Due to the abundance of available resources, new people to the field might easily be overwhelmed with finding the right materials for their level of expertise or generally get an overview of recent developments. The goal of the task force will be to further promote research on gamification and track trends in the research community. The latter will be surveyed for a comprehensive overview of the field.

Call for volunteers in and out of IEEE and students. The approach is based on the following steps:
Start a goal (one activity in the list 5.2)
Determine date/time/place/modality (virtual/face2face/dual)
Determine a leader and collaborator(s) within the current TF
Call for volunteers to add at least 2 persons
Promote and perform the activity
Report activity to IEEE
Insert recordings in the GTC AR WEB site (if it is the case)
Evaluate results and invite external collaborators to register as members of IEEE CIS AR with a half membership bonus (this is currently part of the local CIS membership development program)
