Anti- Toxic Robot

The project prevents accidents caused by leakages of toxic gases resulting from petroleum and petrochemicals companies which causes threat to people’s lives and the environment, so we thought of how to get rid of toxic gases and treat them chemically to convert the toxic gas to eco-friendly and unharmful gases by exchanging the human resource with a robot.

So the project is based on four axes:-

First: Detecting the concentration of toxic gas and leak area.

Second: Absorbing the leaked toxic gas.

Third: Treating toxic gas chemically and reuse the product.

Forth: Mending the pipe or leak area to prevent the leakage.

We made gas sensor circuit to know which place leak toxic gas and the concentration. When the concentration of toxic gas increase, the gas sensor circuit produces the warning signals to the workers, at the same moment to control room to call the robot to come in the leakage area.

The robot take the order and go to leakage area to absorb toxic gas using absorbed or reversed blower and treat it using suitable chemical material, then reuse the product in the industrial filed.

This project will be used to achieve the highest level of safety of the workers from asphyxiation and death, safety for the factories from the leakages of gases, in addition to environment preservation.

Increasing the Efficiency of Solar Cells

-In this project we are facing the problem of energy losses in the solar cells due to its mechanical movement to track the maximum power point of sun light.

-sowe are going to make it electronic tracking by a technique is named MPPT(maximum power point tracking).

-We are succeeded to increase the efficiency of solar cells..where the recent results are making use of sunlight through 12h instead of 8-9h

-We are working now to make charger controller circuit using flow code program to organize the charging process where.

-If the gained charge less than (MPP) maximum power point of battery, the charge is stored temporarily in multi capacitors till to reach (MPP) and quickly transferred to the battery .

-If the gained charge reaches (MPP), is transferred automatically to the battery .

Increasing the Efficiency of Vertical Wind Turbine

Looking at different ways to solve the energy problem in Egypt took us to the area of renewable forms of energy especially wind energy. We made a plan to increase the efficiency and production of windmills. The target of this project is to achieve the maximum power of a three blades vertical wind turbine axis by making a fixed fan that consist of 12 blades each two blades make a shape like a nozzle start with a large area which decreases to increase the velocity of air.

And we will use Transformer from 12 v to 220 v to get electricity that can run a house.

Algae Energy

-Egypt faces many problems. The most dangerous among these are environmental pollution and energy shortage. Pollution problem is considered a strategic problem; Egypt ranked third globally and on the pollution index Egypt is 97.30% in the list of countries affected by environmental pollution.

-The main resources of environmental pollution in Egypt are burning different types of fossil fuels. This pollution causes the production of about 29 giga tonnes of carbon dioxide annually into the atmosphere which leads to global warming and Leukemia. On the other hand, depletion of fossil fuels causes economic and energy problems to the country as well as the field of industry, which is not currently running 60% to 70% of electrical capacity only.

-In Our research is trying to find alternative source of energy to solve these problems together: pollution and energy shortage. Cultivation of the micro-algae and extraction the diesel oil from it can be a great source for clean energy. It is also cheap. The proportion of oil in chancellor(21%). Algae sucks (co2) during growth so it’s environment cleaner. Extracting diesel oil from algae by being compressed by device which has been modified to be able to squeeze out micro-algae after drying. The biomass is used inside the second part of device to extract the Methane gas and Nitrogen fertilizer Based on the principle of anaerobic fermentation of organic materials. Finally the outcomes from this project by cultivating about 8% from Egypt desert it will not need diesel oil from petroleum, Reduce the percentage of carbon dioxide in the air, Solve the problem of energy, providing job opportunities for the youth.

Pyrolysis of Waste Plastic into Fuels

Waste plastic disposal and excessive use of fossil fuels have caused environment concerns in the world. Both plastics and petroleum derived fuels are hydrocarbons that contain the elements of carbon and hydrogen. The difference between them is that plastic molecules have longer carbon chains than those in LPG, petrol, and diesel fuels. Therefore, it is possible to convert waste plastic into fuels.

The main objectives of this project were:

- Pyrolysis apparatus design as a commercial plant.

- Pyrolysis of polypropylene (PP), Poly styrene (PS), Polly ethylene high-density (HDPE) and treatment of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and extract the fuel from it.

-The use of a catalyst with a higher efficiency of calcium bentonite.

-The results of the pyrolysis of the plastic experience:

1st type of polypropylene (PP) which resulted in [15.7% of gas, 84.2%of oil and 0.25% of the char].

2nd type of Polystyrene (PS) which resulted in [4% of gas, 93% of oil and 3% of the char]

3rd type of Polyethylene, high-density (HDPE) which resulted in [16% of gas, 83.5% of oil and 1% of the char]

Smart Classification Recycling System

-The primary purpose from the project is to solve the garbage problem in Egypt and the problem of non-classified and accumulation or burial or cremation, which would negatively impact on the environment and the ozone layer because of the harmful gases that result from previous operations in our thinking in the development of intelligent system without human intervention to resolve past problems for sorting and recycling of garbage process, the system is divided into two parts, the first part is classification garbage process using robots by using a type of sensors called sensors permeability sensors and the second part of project is recycling any king of garbage and converted it into synthesis gas “using plasma”, which have the ability to restore any material to its original condition in the sound of the new gas.

New Fire Fighting System

-Our problem is the heat incoming from the surrounding area and the electrical devices or specifically the Infra-red and how to solve our problem.

-And we thought of use it in Fire fighter system running with the infra-red power source. As know the Infra-red is a type of several types of electromagnetic waves.

-And as we know the main source of the electromagnetic waves is the sun. And it divided into three parts near, mid and far one, and we will use the mid region in our project. that all we need to know about it for now.

-Before anything the robot main source is the receiving the infra-red from the surrounding machines, due to the area that the robot place on the factory that will protect it.

-The fire fighter robot or the fire fighter system is running as the following:

-1st, the robot take an alarm then the robot moves in guide line to the alarm site.

-2nd a helicopter fly above the fire to record as thermal view.

-3rd the robot moves its arm that shoots the foam balls that will put out fire.
