The Interpretation Centre 'Civitas sacra'
The Interpretation Centre of St James Cathedral ‘Civitas sacra’ is located in the very heart of Šibenik, on the city’s high street called ˝kalelarga˝, in Galbiani Palace, which is located at the address Ulica kralja Tomislava 10, 22000 Šibenik.
How to get in Šibenik
Zadar and Split airports. One hour to Šibenik by bus/taxi.
For the participants, a minibus (14 and/or 7 seats) from Split and Zadar airports will be organized a few times during the "arrival/departure" days, 22/23. and 27.5.2023.
Send e-mail to the local organizing committee (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in organized transportation from the airport (Split or Zadar) to Šibenik. The transport schedule will be adapted to the arrivals of the participants. The participants have to pay for the transport at Registraion site (20 EUR one direction).
Disclaimer: This trasportation price is valid only if paid during the registration process (it is a part of the Fee).
Šibenik is well connected by bus. The main bus station is just a few minutes walking distance from the city centre.

Šibenik, the oldest native Croatian city is situated almost in the centre of the eastern Adriatic coast. The first mention of the city dates back to year 1066 and charter of Petar Krešimir IV. In this charming historical city you can find 24 churches, 6 monasteries, 4 fortresses, the attractive „Four Water-Wells“ not far from the Cathedral, 2851 stone City stairs, the largest number of Baroque organs, and the Medieval Monastery Garden of St. Lawrence – the only one in Croatia.
Famous monument of Šibenik is St. James cathedral from 15th and 16th century that is on UNESCO Wold Herritage Sites List. In history, four attractive town fortresses were built for defence: Barone Fortress, St John's Fortress, St Michael's Fortress and St Nicholas' Fortress. Nowadays, you can visit and explore all of them.
Faust Vrančić the inventor of suspension bridges and the parachute was born and lived in Šibenik.
