So, we have observed that water scarcity is a major issue facing our world currently and may continue to haunt us in the future if we don’t take adequate steps to combat this problem. We took the help of various datasets for our analysis and our analysis basically focused on the accessibility to fresh water around the world. We divided the world into several regions and areas to perform our analysis better. We also performed analysis on water-borne diseases as WHO recommended that 80% of the diseases are water-related.
From the data, it is vehemently clear that:
Contamination is the main reason behind water pollution, and it’s very dangerous as it affects the whole ecosystem of plants and animals.
The countries in the world which have very limited access to fresh water are the countries with the highest rate of water- borne diseases. The country with the highest rate of water- borne diseases is Ethiopia and expectedly its population has the least access to fresh water sources.
We have seen that the high population of a country is expectedly directly related to the water consumption of that country. Countries like China, India, and the United States have the highest consumption rate of water.
